The perfect blend of fun and good taste sums up the philosophy behind Spinnaker restaurant and café. Located just a stone’s throw from Porto Cervo, on the road to Liscia Di Vacca, the Spinnaker has been a reference point in Costa Smeralda for 30 years and offers separate restaurant and coffee bar areas. The top-class kitchen prepares both meat and fresh seafood specialities. For those who prefer meat-based dishes the traditional recipes from the Emilia region come highly recommended and are lovingly prepared according to “Grandma’s recipes”, as is the fresh pasta: cappelletti in broth and tortelli filled with squash, to name but a few. Desserts not to be missed include the trifle, spring basket and crème brulée, while a wood-oven turns out excellent pizzas. A well-furnished wine cellar offers the best of local and Italian labels.
The coffee bar next door is perhaps the busiest in the “Costa” at breakfast where a range of croissants, tarts, savoury pastries, pizzas and focaccias prepared in-house are served each morning. An informal lunch menu is also available while in the evening, over pre-dinner aperitifs, the al fresco tables become a packed meeting point and an obligatory leg on the Costa Smeralda nightlife circuit.
