Tinte Fosche continues!
Saturday, November 30 at 6:30 p.m., in the hall of "Il Politecnico Argonauti" we will have a very special guest: Antonio Boggio.
The writer will talk about his novel "Delitto alla baia d'argento", published by Piemme.
He will talk with the author Rossella Perra.
THE BOOK: Commissioner Alvise Terranova does not have big dreams in the drawer; after returning to Carloforte, at this moment his greatest desire is to be able to celebrate his birthday with a good bottle of wine, a plate of spaghetti, the music of Tom Waits in the background, and the company of Elisabetta. It does not seem like such an unattainable dream, given that there are three days left and that nothing ever happens at the police station, if you do not consider the incessant phone calls from a farmer who reports the disappearance of chickens. And it is precisely when Alvise thinks he can dedicate a little time to himself that the dead man arrives. Just outside Carloforte, in a cove with uncontaminated nature, threatened by the construction of a luxury hotel, the Baia d'Argento hotel, a nightmare for environmentalists, the body of a man is found. It could be the classic case of accidental death, if it were not for the fact that the wall that collapsed on him, the night before, at closing time of the construction site, was in perfect condition. Once the identity of the dead man, a much-loved man in the area, is discovered, Alvise investigates the life of the victim, not without skeletons. But the solution, as always in the cases that Commissioner Terranova follows, is hidden in a detail that he is the only one to see. After Murder in Carloforte, Antonio Boggio gives us another perfectly crafted mystery, with a very evocative setting that is dear to readers, and a protagonist who is extraordinary in his humanity.
THE AUTHOR: Born in 1982, he grew up in Carloforte, on the island of San Pietro, a small island southwest of Sardinia. He currently lives and works in Cagliari. Some of his stories have appeared in anthologies and magazines. Murder in Carloforte is his debut novel, the first mystery in a series featuring Commissioner Alvise Terranova. The author is already working on the sequel.
The project “Tinte fosche, autunno in noir” was born from the synergy of three cultural actors in the city: the Pulp association, which deals with artistic and cultural events, the Il Politecnico Argonauti association, active in organizing the Tavolara Film Festival of Storie di un attimo, a popular photography festival, and many other initiatives, and the Ubik Olbia bookshop, now a point of reference and aggregation for literary events and more in the area.
Also for this edition, the festival is supported by the Fondazione di Sardegna, the Municipality of Olbia.
The artistic directors have been, since the first edition, the bookseller Andrea Baragone and Marco Navone, from the Argonauti association.
The event will follow all the safety protocols required by law.
