ALMOST EVERYTHING THERE IS TO SEE, KNOW AND DO ON THE COSTA
Beaches Cannigione / La Conia
Located along three kilometres of seafront reaching from the town of Cannigione to the La Conia area. All of the beaches are fairly close to services and can be reached by bike thanks to a new cycle path. The entire zone is popular with sporty types, thanks in part to the equipment available along the seafront, providing an open-air gym.
Exposed to the east south-east, this area is fairly well sheltered from Mistral winds. The sand is generally golden and a little coarse while the seabed is shallow and often broken by stretches of rock or seagrass. A good place for snorkelling and fishing, but not in the summer months when there is a lot of boat traffic.
You can also go sailing, canoeing or windsurfing in the two welcoming nautical clubs located at the beginning and the end of the seafront. The water is limpid but not crystalline due to this gulf having a freshwater tributary.
The beaches are all easy to get to, parking is free and nearby and so they are popular with those who like the convenience of easy access to bars, umbrella and lounger rental, hotels and pizzerias.
