The panoramic
Capriccioli beach, overlooking Cala di Volpe bay, is separated by a pathway of 20 metres from its “smaller twin”.
Popular with residents of surrounding villas and hotels, its shallow waters and white sands – a little coarser than the neighbouring beach - are much-loved by families. Sheltered from all winds, in particular the Mistral, it is surrounded by juniper trees (rigorously protected) which provide some shade and a typical Mediterranean perfume.
Capriccioli’s sand, formed through years of attrition of tiny shells, characterises the beach and means it is protected by law. It is forbidden to take sand from the beach, a rule that applies throughout Sardinia. It is highly recommended, on the other hand, to enjoy the colours and peace of this beach and its twin in springtime. A beach umbrella and lounger rental as well as showers and a bar are available at the nearby Capriccioli service centre.
